can’t believe the month of October has gone and passed! And now we’re already almost half way through November! It’s been a minute since I’ve have blogged, school has definitely begun to get to me with so much due. Regardless, to get back into the swing of things, I wanted to start by sharing with you all the things I’ve been loving throughout the month of October. So, without further ado, here are my October favorites!
Starting off with fashion favorites, this month I have been obsessed with these black suede Chelsea boots from Express. If you know me, then you know that I’m a sucker for a nice heeled shoe. So, when I saw these boots, I instantly fell in love with them. I love the sim which gives it a nice shape and the suede material adds to the casual look. I found it perfect for everyday use.
For beauty, I only have one this month. On the hunt to replace my finished foundation, I had come across the Clinique Even Better Glow foundation at a local Clinique counter. I have always been a use of Clinique. Starting with their Acne Solutions skincare when I had terrible acne to their Acne Solutions foundation. Now that I’m older, my acne has cleared up tremendously and is very occasional, so I thought it was time to stop using the Acne solutions foundation and switch to a regular foundation. I decided to give the Even Better Glow a try.
Honestly, I was a little hesitant at first because I was so used to matte foundations. I already have naturally oily skin, so I thought the added glow would make me look like a grease ball. But I was so surprised and happy with the results! When completely dried, I was left with a natural skin-like dewy look and I fell in love! If you have oily skin and are still worried about the extra shine, apply a light layer of power and you’ll be good to go! For the Even Better Foundation, I am in the shade WN 118 Amber (D).
For music favorites, I have a few favorites. These songs are all up beat with catchy beats and were definitely on repeat for most of the month:
This month I was really getting into the foreign movies. I’ve lately been discovering Nigerian based/Nollywood movies on Netflix. Being Nigerian myself, I find them entertaining to listen to the heavy accents and see the and laugh along to the African humor. That being said, my favorite movie this month have been the Wedding Party.
The next is a series from one of my favorite YouTubers, Amy Vagabond. She recently started GRWM series called “A.M. with Amy” where she gets ready in the morning while discussing a topic on interests by her or a question from her viewers. I love. I’ve been watching Amy since freshman year of high school, and I’ve seen her grow so much as a person and I love how relatable and transparent she is. I always look forward to a new episode every week!
So those are all my favorites for this month! Hope you all enjoyed! What have you been loving this past month?
